Simon Dalley to Head Up Skiddle Marketing Team

Hitwise Top 10 website Skiddle.com is pleased to announce the expansion of their marketing department to include marketing professional Simon Dalley.

Over the past decade Dalley has had a remarkable career in marketing, which has seen him working with a variety of organisations ranging from start-ups through to FTSE 100 and Fortune 500 businesses.

Working both client side and in agency roles, Dalley has an enviable breadth of experience, with some of the brands he’s worked with including the NHS, UKFast, Baines and Ernst, Car Craft, We Buy Any Car, Renault, Nissan, Ford, Volkswagen and Mercedes-Benz to name but a few!

Most recently Dalley has worked in a consultative capacity with Skiddle Ltd, directing the organisation’s search marketing and assisting in the development of a more cohesive marketing approach, during which time Skiddle has seen a significant growth in sales and profitability.

Speaking about the decision to bring Dalley in house to head up Skiddle’s Marketing and PR, Rich Dyer, Director of Skiddle said:  “Simon has already proven his worth to the business and we’ve been keen to formalize our relationship by integrating him into the team.

He went on to say: “This is a really exciting time for Skiddle, whilst other businesses have hunkered because of the recession, we are rapidly growing and we’re confident that with Simon’s assistance we’ll be able to grow the business further still.”

Commenting on his appointment, Dalley said: “It’s amazing to be joining Skiddle at this moment in the business’ development. Skiddle has grown significantly in the period since I first encountered them and I see no reason why this trend should slow now. I passionately believe in the importance of brand marketing and it’s great to work in an organisation that has such levels of brand loyalty and recognition.”

The role will consist of formalising and consolidating the existing marketing operation whilst developing an over-arching marketing and brand strategy with a new emphasis on B2B growth over the initial 12 months of his tenure.
